"Rate my portfolio" — the post Reddit sees 50 times a day

Sort r/CryptoCurrency by new. Count the "rate my portfolio" posts. You'll find at least three from the last 24 hours. The format is always the same:

"Hey, I'm 23, just started investing. Here's my portfolio: 40% BTC, 30% ETH, 15% SOL, 10% DOGE, 5% SHIB. What do you think?"

And the replies are always the same too. Some guy says "drop the memecoins." Another says "100% BTC or nothing." A third replies with "DYOR" — the most useless advice in crypto history. Nobody runs numbers. Nobody explains why. Nobody actually analyzes the portfolio.

We built something better. The Roast Battle on Strategy Arena lets 6 different AIs analyze your crypto portfolio — and they don't hold back.

How the Roast Battle works

You enter your portfolio. The allocations, the coins, the amounts. Then 6 AIs — Claude, Grok, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Perplexity — each independently analyze your holdings. They score your portfolio, identify problems, and explain what they'd change.

But here's the twist: they also roast you. This isn't a polite "your portfolio could use some adjustment." These AIs will call you out.

Each roast includes:

  • A Burn Score (0-100): How badly your portfolio needs fixing
  • Risk analysis: Correlation, concentration, volatility exposure
  • Diversification grade: Are you actually diversified or just holding 5 coins that move the same way?
  • Psychological bias detection: Are you chasing hype? Revenge-holding a bag? Anchoring to a buy price?
  • Specific recommendations: Not "diversify more" — actual allocation suggestions with reasoning

The 6 AIs then vote on the worst problem in your portfolio. When 5 out of 6 AIs agree that your 30% DOGE allocation is a problem, it's harder to ignore than one Reddit comment.

Real roast examples (anonymized)

The Degen SOL Portfolio

Submitted: 60% SOL, 20% JUP, 10% BONK, 10% WIF

Claude's roast: "This isn't a portfolio. It's a Solana fan club membership with extra steps. If Solana's validator network has a bad day, your entire net worth has a bad day. Correlation between these assets: 0.94. You might as well hold 100% SOL and save yourself the gas fees."

Grok's roast: "I ran this through our Backtester logic. During the March 2025 SOL correction (-34%), every single one of these assets dropped 30%+. Your 'diversification' into JUP, BONK, and WIF provided exactly zero protection. Burn score: 82/100."

DeepSeek's analysis: "Two of these four assets (BONK, WIF) are memecoins with no revenue model, no development roadmap, and declining daily active addresses. The probability of both existing in 2028 is below 40% based on historical memecoin survival rates."

Consensus vote: 6/6 AIs flagged "ecosystem concentration" as the primary issue. Recommendation: reduce Solana ecosystem to maximum 40% of portfolio, add BTC and ETH as uncorrelated base layer.

The All-Weather Dalio

Submitted: 35% BTC, 25% ETH, 15% stablecoins (USDC), 10% SOL, 10% LINK, 5% gold-backed token

Claude's roast: "Finally, someone who's read a book. This is actually... decent? I'm almost disappointed. Your BTC+ETH base provides market exposure, stablecoins give you dry powder, and the gold hedge is smart. But that 10% LINK is doing nothing your ETH exposure doesn't already do. They correlate at 0.87."

Grok's roast: "Solid structure, boring execution. You're the Toyota Camry of crypto portfolios. Reliable, sensible, and nobody will ever be impressed at a dinner party. Burn score: 23/100."

Perplexity's analysis: "Based on current Fear Index readings (Greed territory at 72), this conservative allocation will likely underperform in the short term but outperform on risk-adjusted returns over a 12-month horizon. The 15% stablecoin position is your secret weapon during the next correction."

Consensus vote: 4/6 AIs suggested replacing LINK with a lower-correlation asset. 2/6 said the portfolio was fine as-is. This is one of the rare cases where the AIs actually disagreed — which is information in itself.

The "My Friend Told Me" Portfolio

Submitted: 25% BTC, 25% ETH, 25% XRP, 25% ADA

GPT's roast: "This portfolio screams 'I asked my coworker what to buy in 2021 and never changed anything.' XRP and ADA were top-10 coins five years ago. They're still top-20 today, but their market share has been eaten alive by SOL, AVAX, and newer L1s. You're holding the Blockbuster and Nokia of crypto."

Gemini's analysis: "Equal-weight allocation across four assets suggests you couldn't decide, so you didn't. That's not a strategy — it's procrastination disguised as diversification. The correlation matrix shows BTC-ETH at 0.82, ETH-ADA at 0.79, and XRP correlates with regulatory headlines more than with crypto markets."

Burn score average across 6 AIs: 61/100.

Why AI roasts beat Reddit advice

Reddit gives you opinions. AIs give you analysis.

When someone on Reddit says "drop XRP," they might be right, but they rarely explain the correlation data, the historical drawdowns, or the risk-adjusted returns. The AIs on Strategy Arena access the same tools used by the 58 strategies competing in our Battle Royale: backtesting engines, correlation matrices, volatility models, and sentiment data from the Fear Index.

Six perspectives, not one.

The most valuable part of the Roast Battle isn't any single AI's opinion. It's the consensus — and the disagreements. When all 6 AIs agree on a problem, you should probably listen. When they disagree, that tells you the issue is genuinely debatable, and you need to do more research.

No conflicts of interest.

Reddit advice often comes from people holding the coins they recommend. "Buy more SOL" from someone whose portfolio is 80% SOL is not objective advice. The AIs have no bags. They don't shill. They don't care about your feelings.

The Roast of the Week

Every week, we feature the most memorable roast on the Roast Battle page. Past highlights include:

  • The portfolio that was 100% in a single memecoin (Burn score: 97/100 — the highest ever recorded)
  • The "hedge fund manager" whose portfolio was just BTC and a 2x leveraged BTC token ("you're not hedging, you're doubling down with extra fees")
  • The portfolio with 23 different altcoins, none above 5% allocation ("this isn't diversification, this is a collection")

What to do after your roast

Getting roasted is step one. Here's the full path:

  1. Get roasted: Submit your portfolio to the Roast Battle
  2. Understand the feedback: Each AI explains its reasoning — read all six opinions
  3. Learn the fundamentals: If the roast revealed knowledge gaps, the Academy covers everything from BTC basics to advanced risk management in 12 free lessons
  4. Check the Fear Index: The Fear Index tells you whether now is the right time to rebalance or wait
  5. Compare with the pros: The Leaderboard shows which strategies are actually performing in real-time across 58 competing algorithms
  6. Test your new allocation: Use the Backtester to simulate your revised portfolio on historical data before committing real money
  7. Build a smarter portfolio: The Smart Portfolio tool helps you combine strategies with optimal diversification
  8. Shadow test it: The Shadow Portfolio lets you track your new allocation with virtual money on real prices

The voting system

After the 6 AIs deliver their roasts, they vote on three things:

  1. Biggest risk in the portfolio (what's most likely to blow up)
  2. Best asset in the portfolio (what you should keep)
  3. One change to make immediately (the highest-impact fix)

The voting creates a clear action plan. You don't leave with six essays and no idea what to do — you leave with a prioritized list based on AI consensus.

"But can I trust AI with my money?"

Let's be clear: the Roast Battle doesn't trade for you. It doesn't manage your money. It doesn't even tell you what to buy. It analyzes what you already hold and explains the risks you might not see.

Think of it as a second opinion. Or rather, six second opinions. You'd get a second opinion before surgery. Getting six AI opinions before risking your savings is probably smart too.

And if you want to see how AI-designed strategies actually perform with real money on the line, the Battle Royale has been running 24/7 since launch. 58 strategies — including ones designed by Claude, Grok, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Perplexity — compete on live market data. Transparent, verifiable, no cherry-picked results.

The bottom line

Every day, thousands of people post "rate my portfolio" on Reddit and get mediocre advice from strangers with unknown credentials and undisclosed biases.

The Roast Battle gives you six independent AI analyses, a burn score, a consensus vote, and specific recommendations — in seconds, for free.

Your portfolio probably needs it. Be honest: when was the last time you actually stress-tested your allocation? The Backtester can show you what would have happened during every major crash. The Fear Index can tell you whether the market mood matches your risk tolerance.

Stop asking Reddit. Start asking the machines. They're meaner, but they're better at math.
