Momentum Surfer is a dynamic crypto trading strategy that 'surfs' momentum waves by identifying price accelerations and riding them until exhaustion. Unlike classic Momentum that simply measures direction, Momentum Surfer analyzes the speed and acceleration of movement — entering only when momentum accelerates and exiting at the first signs of deceleration. Optimized for 24/7 crypto markets where parabolic moves are frequent.

How it works

Calculates first AND second order momentum (speed + acceleration). Buy signal when both speed and acceleration are positive. Uses a dynamic trailing stop that tightens when acceleration weakens. Filters entries by volume (momentum without volume = false signal).

1st order momentum (ROC). 2nd order momentum (acceleration). Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP). Dynamic trailing stop based on ATR. MACD for trend confirmation.
