Free Trading Quizzes and Exercises: 36 Practice Questions with Corrections
The problem with classic trading quizzes
Most trading quizzes test vocabulary. They ask what RSI means or what a candle is. That is useful, but not enough.
Real trading requires judgment: risk, timing, drawdown, overfitting, fees and psychology. Strategy Arena's exercises use scenarios instead of memorization.
6 example questions, with explanations
Question 1: easy
A strategy has a high win rate but a negative PnL. Is it good? No. The losing trades are probably larger than the winning trades.
Question 2: medium
A backtest performs well before fees and fails after fees. Should it be promoted? No. Fees are part of reality.
Question 3: medium
Fear Index is below 20. Should you buy immediately? Not necessarily. Extreme fear is context, not an order.
Question 4: difficult
Two strategies have the same return. One has half the drawdown. Which is healthier? Usually the lower-drawdown strategy.
Question 5: difficult
A model works on one split but fails on several Monte Carlo splits. Is it robust? No.
Question 6: expert
A strategy wins in bull markets and loses in ranges. What should you add? Regime detection or allocation rules.
Difficulty progression
The quiz moves from easy to medium, difficult and expert. The goal is to make you apply concepts, not repeat definitions.
Why these quizzes are better than PDFs
The exercises connect to live Strategy Arena tools: Dashboard, Backtest, Fear Index, Chimera and AI Arena.
That means you can verify the concept immediately.
Another difference is correction quality. A good exercise should explain why the wrong answer is tempting. Many trading mistakes are psychologically attractive: buying after a green candle, trusting a high win rate, increasing size after losses, or ignoring fees because the gross backtest looks good.
The quiz is designed to attack those habits directly.
The certificate at the end
The certificate proves completion and understanding of core ideas. It is not a trading license and not a promise of profit.
The complete path
Start with Academy, complete the quizzes, review mistakes with the AI mentor and practice in a shadow portfolio.
Learning trading should make you more skeptical, not more reckless.
If you finish the quiz with fewer certainties and better questions, the training has worked.
