Strategy Arena's AI Fear Index condenses all the arena's intelligence into a single score: 0 (extreme fear) to 100 (extreme euphoria).
Unlike the classic Crypto Fear & Greed Index (based on social media and volume), our index is calculated by 5 artificial intelligence systems that analyze real trading data.
The 5 components
1. Market regime (baseline)
The regime detector analyzes moving averages and momentum to classify the market: - BEAR → baseline 20 (fear) - VOLATILE → baseline 30 - NEUTRAL → baseline 50 - BULL → baseline 70 (confidence)
This is the same logic Ray Dalio applies with his economic cycles.
2. Invictus — Death rate
Invictus has absorbed 5,000 death contexts with 16 features each. Its death rate measures: under current conditions, what percentage of trades die?
- Death rate > 60% → -15 points (danger)
- Death rate < 40% → +15 points (safe zone)
Momentum and RSI are the two features that kill the most trades.
3. Chimera Scanner — Active pattern
The Chimera Scanner detects the pattern among its 1,221 patterns (51 million occurrences):
- Fear patterns (TREMOR, THUNDER_DROP, DARK_MIRROR) → -10 points
- Confidence patterns (PULSE_WAVE, BLITZ_RALLY) → +10 points
- Neutral patterns (STEEL_WALL, SERPENT_COIL) → 0 points
4. Leviathan — Super-general's vote
The 7-layer super-general (contrarian 69%, regime 67.8%) gives its verdict: - SELL → -5 points - BUY → +5 points - HOLD → 0
5. Volatility
Instantaneous volatility measures the amplitude of recent movements: - Vol > 3% → -5 points (jittery market = danger) - Vol < 1% → +5 points (calm market = confidence)
The 5 zones

| 0-20 | EXTREME FEAR | Red | Very dangerous conditions. Most trades die. |
| 20-40 | FEAR | Orange | Caution recommended. Defensive strategies outperform. |
| 40-60 | NEUTRAL | Yellow | Neither fear nor euphoria. Mean reversion strategies are favored. |
| 60-80 | GREED | Light green | Confidence. Momentum strategies perform well. |
| 80-100 | EXTREME GREED | Green | Euphoria — watch for reversals. Taleb's Barbell protects. |
